- Synchronized Diving: The two divers must both flawlessly execute their own dive while mirroring their partner.
- Relay: Each of the four competitors must swim or run their fastest so the one completing the last leg gets there ahead of the other teams. Hand-off is key.
- Team Gymnastics: From a team of five, three must compete in each event. Scores are added. Each team member highlights his or her strengths.
- Beach Volleyball: Two athletes alternate turns to send the ball back over the net in three hits and prevent it from hitting the ground. Players set up the next step for the other.
Unfortunately, teams in organizations often resemble each other more than they resemble what they are trying to accomplish. The Olympics show us that excellence is achieved when teams are designed to fit their purpose.
