I am facing such a situation in a volunteer org I am engaged in.
A 180 degree turn around for status quo.
I am waiting for the core group to make up its mind.
I like your three options.
Shall report progress

Quite interesting and challenging article. It is important to appreciate the fact that each leader has his/her own vision to sell and accomplish. Therefore, the best option is to support and help implement their vision as organisation needs are not constant but keep changing depending on situations and time.

Great article. Whatever you do, act with dignity and honesty.
If you leave then be open that you are leaving to create space for the new vision and dont dissmiss the new leader.
Fight only till you know the fight can be won. Gorilla warfare benefits nobody.
If you pivot then make sure that the people who looked to you for leadership understand your shifting stance. Humility is vital and dont pretend this was what you wanted all along.
